HUSQVARNA AQUIRES KING CONCEPTSposted on 5 November 2008 | posted in NEWSHusqvarna acquires the Australian company King Concepts, a company that manufactures and sells equipment and consumables for the Floor Preparation and Concrete Polishing market. King Concepts’ product range includes polishing and grinding machines, dust collectors, and related diamond tools and consumables. Sales are today mainly conducted in USA and Australia. The company has approximately 15 employees and its manufacturing is situated in Melbourne, Australia. The operation will be included in the Group’s Construction Products business sector. “King Concepts has the experience and know-how we need to enter into the attractive growing Floor preparation market and gives us a well-proven and patented product line. The acquisition of King Concepts will strengthen Husqvarna’s position as the leading provider of equipment and diamond tools for the construction industry. Synergies will be achieved in manufacturing and by consolidating sales through our global distribution network”, says Anders Ströby, Head of Construction Products. The integration of King Concepts into the Husqvarna Construction Products organization will start immediately and the product range will be presented under the Husqvarna brand at the Bauma exhibition in April.
